How do I do it? I use a common sense approach to health. Let me explain. As I am sure you are aware that the brain and the nerves control every function of the body. were you also aware that of all the millions of miles of nerves we have in our body only about 4% deal with pain. What do the rest of the nerves do? They run your heart, your liver, your gall bladder etc, etc. When nerves are prevented from communicating with the brain it is like the static you used to see on TV. If you are old enough to remember when there were only a few channels you know what I am talking about. A great deal of pain occurs when the delicate nerves in the neck are blocked. My job is to find these areas where they are blocked and remove the blockage. When you have headaches there is a good chance the nerves in your neck are involved. Imagine a nerve getting blocked, I can tell you something won’t be happy until you remove the blockage. That is what I do. I find and remove the blockage that is very likely to be causing your headaches in the first place.
Only a few weeks ago a busy mom with two kids came to see me about her hip that was bothering her when she ran. I ask about all her health concerns when I do a consult. She mentioned that she gets terrible headaches and has been for over 12 years. She was trying a new drug called Emgality. Emgality belongs to a new class of drugs called calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) antagonists. Since Emgality is a biologic it is made from living cells making it very, very expensive.
